Build you own dual axis solar tracker. Most of the parts were salvaged—from a wrecker car, thrown away pipe, from a torn down house and left over steel metal from other projects. Since this project is promoted only as a starting point , many steps are open to modification to meet your special requirements. Or the plan can be followed exactly to produce the tracker as shown on the plan's cover (photo on the left). For example, it can be scaled up and therefore will require different motor mounts and a larger brake drum. However the design still remains the same. Since this is offered as a tracker, only one type of diy solar panel (water heater) is offered. The tracker can mount a solar cell panel, hot air panel or for any other use where solar tracking is needed.
Plans like these would cost two to three times on other sites.
This solar controller (below) is available at a very reasonalbe price. Instruction are given where to purchase and how to put it all together.
